IRRESPONSIBLE Teenage Mums

Here I am NOT talking about the Teenage Mums that actually want to have kids and start a family.

I think its horrible how some people (In my year) leave school, and get pregnant just for the flat. They have even admitted it. Some people have said they do it on purpose on one night stands, and other get in 'relationships' and week long and decide "They want kids and a free house".

I suppose its not their fault exactally, and its just the way they have been brought up, but does anyone find this really upseting?

First, a kid gets brought in to the world for material gain, secondly its a waste of the parents teenage/early adult life, and finally they are getting house's at the expense of others.

It' irresponsible (I only corrected cos it was in capitals so you could change it if you wanted, not being pedantic!).

Yeah I agree. I think girls need to consider the quality of their babies life. If they rely on the council at such a young age, they're not going to be able to provide the baby with anything beyond the basic needs, and maybe not even that. That's not to say it's a bad thing, but when the mother has a choice to leave it a few years until she has a good job then it can help her child more.

Also, I think children born to a teenage mother who isn't mature yet (i.e. those that do it for the flat) - will miss out on a lot of vital things emotionally, as their mother is not mature herself, she can't look after herself never mind a baby.

I think 21 is a good age to have a baby. I want to have a baby young but not too young (like 20-25ish). I think way to many people are having babies quite old but then again there is many having them too young.

MrGaryy 10-05-2009 09:58 PM

LOL, I bet everyone is like making sure their posts are meticulous before they post in this thread.

I read yours twice there, to see if I could correct you Gary. lol
