Should we start with a clean slate?

By this i mean not judge a series by all the rest or just by the eye,or should we not have any expectaions and then we won't be let down.

I think 99% of the people who watch dont care about Pre BB stuff. So if you are judging the show based on eyes and stuff, you and a few people are on your own with that.

Most viewers won't ejaculate at the sight of an eye flash, so I doubt theres any point. The vast majority will go into a new series hoping its as good as last year, because the chances are they watched all of it last year and enjoyed it (even BB8) or else they wouldn't keep watching it

I think theres always going to be some level of expectation. I didn't really have any last year and really enjoyed it, but I had high hopes for BB7 and loved the first half. Just see how the build up goes ...

I think judging a show before it's even started is a little silly.

Ultimately any show is judged by the quality of the housemates.

And we won't know anything about that till launch night.

I always go into a series with an open mind. Like BBDoge said its the housemates who make the show, not the house, eye, etc.

it's hard to forget about the past bb's though
so starting with a clean slate is well hard as you're constantly comparing it to the tasks of a certain year or the house designs of another year etc etc.
but i shall be hoping for something spectacular this year, yes. :spin2:
