Leona Lewis, and I'm not just saying that because of you Lewis, I genuinely see nothing great about her. She has a decent voice granted but she over sings and her album is made up almost totally of covers, she doens't write, she does nothing but monogamous ballads (yes i heard Forgive Me) and she doesn't seem to be able to adapt very well.

Definately Kings Of Leon... i have no idea why they are liked so much, im sure every track i've heard from them sounds the same as the last

I con't see how people can say Britney is over rated when she's not really rated at all? I mean yes she sells well and people enjoy her music but very few people other than hardcore fans actually respect her as an artist.

The whole 'superstar' status. I don't think she deserves it. She doesn't have something special but being blonde and singing pop music for teenagers. Her voice isn't spectacular at all. Just another blonde in the music industry to me.

I agree with you but that's quite beside the point. 'rated' surely refers to someone who has been critically acclaimed by many, 'over rated' being that they don't deserve all the praise they get. Britney is rarely talked about for her actual music or vocal ability so she's hardly over rated. Granted she's a lot more successful than she really is but not over rated.

Lady GaGa isn't over rated in my opinion, she is a great artist, talented and she is interesting to watch. Her artistic way of dressing is quite entertaining to watch. I think they hype from her is well earned.

Kate Nash? She writes and performs all her own work and can play the guitar and piano. Okay she's not Whitney Houston in the vocal department but there's more to an artist than a vocie. Same goes for Taylor really except she can actually sing quite well. The rest is pretty accurate though.

Kings of Leon & Lily Allen are the main two for me.

Kate Nash I find overrated because she sings/speaks in the Cockney accent and, maybe just because I live in Scotland, nobody up here likes her at all because she's making herself appealing to people from London/South England, yet is somehow a nationwide success.

Taylor Swift I find annoying because I hate listening to Love Story every time I get the bus home and some irritating pre-pubescent twerps are going wild with the ringtones. Her voice is really nasally and grates on me.



However, I respect that Kate Nash writes her own music, and Taylor Swift's a hot blonde, so meh. :laugh:

:laugh: Miley's 1) a Disney star and 2) Billy Ray's daughter, if it weren't for these two things she wouldn't stand a chance. Pretty though.

I don't want to get into an arguement with people, but as Britney an over-rated artist..

She has sold almost 90 million albums & has adoring fans all over the world
She has won a Grammy
She is the only female artist in recording history to have all of her album debut in the first two positions of the American charts.
She is the best selling female artist of the decade.
She's had seven sell out tours. (Three worldwide)
and I love her :banana:
If she was bad, she wouldn't have achieved all that.
