Why is this in serious debates man?

Hugo 25-05-2009 01:38 PM

Ok......

Thank you. Up until now I had no idea whether having more positive karma was a good thing or not, and the same for negative. You've really cleared things up here. Take my respect and thanks away from here with you today.

[genuine] ****.

There was the suspicion that too much negative Karma and you get banned automatically by the software.

That is why I have switched it off

The truth about TIBB Karma is that it's the biggest bµllshit the mods have ever instaured on the forums.
It brought a lot more of arguments than the supposedely 'rewarding the members for their good actions'

I actually think I love you :blush2:

Any chance of a moderator coming in to say what are the consequence of extremley high karma and extremly low karma?

Would low karma have lead to a ban and high karma giving you moderator privileges?

I don't think it's practical to implement such a system because karma can be given freely by your friends, or taken by your enemies, so it would be open to abuse.

I have mine on, but I don't take it too seriously. If I upset people, it tends to take a few hits in rapid succession. That amuses me though, as I have an odd sense of humour.

I was not going to risk it, besides the forum could do it automaticaly. A few lines of code is all that is needed.

What would be the point if there were no reward or consequences of karmic values?
