Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony: Out now!
http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.c...gaytony580.jpg The second episode of Rockstar's promised downloadable expansions to Grand Theft Auto IV has been announced! The cheeky developer revealed the DLC as The Ballad of Gay Tony, which places you in the (assumed) fancy shoes of Luis Lopez, a "part-time hoodlum and full-time assistant to legendary nightclub impresario Tony Prince" (or "Gay Tony"), the titular bar mogul who made a number of appearances in GTA IV. While we're sure to hear more about the particulars of Gay Tony during E3, the method of the game's release should prove to be interesting as well. Not only will the expansion hit Xbox Live this fall for $19.99, it'll also appear on a retail disc with The Lost and Damned. This retail disc, titled Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City, won't contain the core GTA IV game -- nor will it require GTA IV to play. It'll hit store shelves in the fall, selling for $39.99. We'll let you know more when we know more! |
I thought this was a joke thread. Sounds fantastic!
lol yeah, a bit of a different culture to set a GTA game in too
Good on Rockstar for trying something different.
I absoloutely love it. The last expansion pack was just dull. This looks like it is swinging more to the humor side of the scale, something GTA does very well.
Apparently this one will have a fight club in it too :3
This sounds great, when will it have a european release?
The same time as the US release (the DLC at least)

Grand Theft Auto IV DLC pack The Ballad Of Gay Tony will be released exclusively for the Xbox 360 in October, Rockstar Games has confirmed.
The downloadable episode will be available via Xbox Live Arcade for 1600 Microsoft Points (£12). Players will take control of nightclub assistant Luis Lopez and can expect to "struggle with the competing loyalties of family and friends, and with the uncertainty about who is real and who is fake in a world in which everyone has a price", according to a synopsis. The add-on follows in the wake of previous episode The Lost And The Damned, which was also released as an Xbox 360 exclusive in February. A standalone disk titled Episodes From Liberty City, comprising both episodes, has also been confirmed for release. A copy of GTA IV will not be required to run the game. The Ballad Of Gay Tony will arrive on Microsoft's online storefront on October 29. Digi Spy |
