BRIAN Dowling has been voted the nation's favourite ever Big Brother winner.

In a heat magazine poll, the cheeky Irish TV presenter, who won the second series of the show, took 29.5 per cent of the votes.

Tourette's Syndrome sufferer Pete Bennett came in second place with 17.5 per cent closely followed by Essex boy Brian Belo at 15 per cent.

Transexual Nadia Almada, the first BB winner Craig Philips, DJ Kate Lawler, dancer Anthony Hutton and last's champ Rachel Rice came in at fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth places respectively.

Dull Orkney Islander Cameron Stout was the least popular housemate and limped in bottom place with 1.5 per cent of the votes.

Brian commented: "It's amazing to win, especially considering it was eight years ago. There have been so many colourful characters since then. Thank you to all who voted for me."

Since winning Big Brother, Brian became a TV presenter and now has his own series in Ireland called Do You Want To Be Famous?

He also presented SM:TV Live and Brian's Boyfriends for ITV as well as appearing in reality cooking show Hell's Kitchen.

Lol i think its funny how Rachel is isolated on the end.

Thats a very nice picture because all of them are together, when looking back i have got to say that all of them were worthy of winning.

Cameron looks really big, Kate looks too over done she is stunning the way she is and Nadia looks like she has lost weight, the others all look the same.

Why have a heat poll? It should be a poll on the offical website, then everyone can vote. I would have liken to vote but I'm not a regular heat reader. Blah :blush:
