Islamic Imam to preach in next Big Brother series

This year’s Big Brother house is set to be the most controversial yet with an Islamic Imam lined up to enter.

Preacher Mustafa bin Abdul Labda has been given the green light by Channel 4 bosses to enter the Elstree house on Thursday night. Labda is well known among the Islamic community for his controversial views, which have got him into trouble in the past.

A show source claimed that the presence of the Pakistani preacher would result in rivetting viewing.

“This year Big Brother is going to be bigger and better than ever. There’s no housemate who will cause a bigger public reaction than Mustafa.

“He is already renowned for his outspoken views and the producers know that viewers will tune into the show in their droves to see his antics.”

Bosses hope the controversial figure will clash with other housemates, including a Brazilian model named Jesus.

Big Brother executive producer Sharon Powers said: “We have a truly diverse bunch of housemates and who knows what might happen when they all start living under the same roof.”

Big Brother 10 starts on Thursday at 9pm.

Didn't Channel 4 or something say this was going to be one of the sexiest series yet?
I think it might be... true. :joker:

Nah, not really.
But if he's a good housemate; I'm all for him going in to stir things up :hello:

Bring him on. This year's is going to be controversial. I feel it.

andyman 02-06-2009 10:41 AM

Did he apply or did BB come to him??

Or maybe just feeeeekin maybe he aint going in..:shocked::shocked:

Dick_Ryder 02-06-2009 10:48 AM

I don't see the point in putting people like him into the house. If he's gobby and opinionated, the other HM's will loathe him and nominate him for eviction at the first opportunity.

Lets face it, nobody likes anyone who constantly rams things down their throats (with the odd exception)

He'll be slung out at the first opportunity and will probably do more harm than good when it comes to the message he wants to put across.

I dont think so. Do you really think Channel4 would want to be landed in more bother with Ofcom if this rabbling idiot is put in?

bluehill 02-06-2009 11:00 AM

what makes you think hes a "rabbling idiot"?

MR.K! 02-06-2009 11:21 AM

To answer KKBL's question...

''clash with other housemates''
''controvercial views, which have gotten him into trouble in the past''
''the most controvercial yet''
''There’s no housemate who will cause a bigger public reaction that Mustafa.''

Also his picture tells stories...

DanielJordan1991 02-06-2009 11:22 AM

What kinda stuff does he preach? They didn't mention it in the article.

It all works for them as a PR
revolution.

They have to change
and this Git is Ideal
to start a Debate on Question Time
and get Endemol big amounts of viewers.
