There are 18 housemates going in on launch night

I have read in a very good source newspaper that there will be a record 18 housemates going in on launch night on Thursday!

ILoveTRW 02-06-2009 08:49 PM

not enough time

MrGaryy 02-06-2009 08:49 PM

Ugh, i seriously hope this is untrue.

Actually it's 95 minutes this year.

Last year, we had the twist after the first 4 housemates entered. This year, there won't be a twist like that.

It can easily be done. Last year's show finished about 10 mins early!

Actually there is, as I explained above. And also, obviously certain things can easily get sped up.

Well there is - they used to get 12 in in 60 minutes, so could get an extra six in in an extra half hour.

no house tour???

I.am.the.invisible.member 02-06-2009 08:59 PM

they could be coming in two's hint hint!

ILoveTRW 02-06-2009 09:01 PM

heres my workings:

each segment on average is 12 minutes and there are 6 segments in a 90 minute show therefore that = 72 mins
- 12 for the house tour
- 5 for the live feed at the end
= 55
divide by 18 housemates = 3 minutes for each housemate to enter

IT AINT HAPPENING

We have been told that no housemates know each other

Stu 02-06-2009 09:02 PM

It's only two extra housemates. Two. Thats nothing. It can easily be fitted in and I hope it is true. I see no disadvantages to stuffing the house on launch night.

Whats your source?

It can definitely be done in a 95 minute show.

Last year had 16 housemates + twist and it still finished 10 minutes early!

This year has 18 housemates + no twist (like last year), so can defo do it.

I'm all most certain the show didn't end 10 minutes early last year

PinkSmurf 02-06-2009 09:11 PM

I would not mind 18 on launch night, but would not want any late comers.

Tom 02-06-2009 09:12 PM

I hope not, 18 is too much unless its some HND variation

14 in BB7 was just right imo, but they should have done what they did last year; 16 on launch night then a few others early on

halions 02-06-2009 09:14 PM

it can be done but i very much doubt it will, unless its something to do with the twist (two houses or something) but again,i doubt!

ILoveTRW 02-06-2009 09:15 PM

how do you people think it can be done???

are you expecting the housemates to teleport into the house?

crossieKIDD 02-06-2009 09:17 PM

LOAD OF BULL

as if, haha 3 housemates will be in the crates ;)

How are my expecting it to be done? Because in the time it took to do the long house tour and twist last year, you could have gotten 5 housemates in the house. This time we only need 2 extra. The house is incredibly bare looking and chances are the tour will reflect that. Plus as has been said, BB9 did in fact end early. BB10 on the other hand could end late. It is not uncommon for live shows to be afforded a ten minuet overtime.

Really, it is incredibly easy if you just admit it.
