Housemates backgrounds
 

As well as housemates' names, I thought it would be good to have a go at guessing the housemates backgrounds - i.e. where they come from. BB tends to have a pattern of not repeating on this too much.

E.g. from the Newcastle region, we've had:
Johnny (BB3)
Narinder(BB2)
Michelle(BB5)

From around Birmingham, we've had:
Dean (BB2)
Alison (BB3)
Steph (BB4)

And there's often some housemates with foreign connections:
Federico (BB4)
Nadia (BB5)
Vanessa (BB5)
Ahmed (BB5)

All very different people!

So, guesses for this year:

1) A surfer dude from Devon/Cornwall, either male or female
2) A man from Wales (not had any of them so far)
3) A feisty girl from either Northern Ireland or Scotland (not had any of them so far either, I don't think)
4) Someone either from Turkeyor with a Turkish parent
5) Someone with an Oriental background - there's never been anyone from this ethnic group on BB so far, so I think it would be easy for this person to stand out and be a character

I know that's not 12 (or 14) people, but that's enough for now!

I think some one from Lancashire background or Manchester we have had only had Anouska and stuart from up north

a hip-hop girl from east-london
an middle aged mum from scotland

Emma (BB5) was from Manchester and I think Adele (BB3) was from somewhere Lancashire way wasn't she?

In fact, there's more of a lack of Yorkshire folk - I can only think of Justine from BB3 (Leeds) and Dan from BB5 (Hull).

Bring on the Yorkshire person!!

Wasn't Scott from Liverpool or Manchester as well?

I think there should be someone from the east Midlands. Nothing ever happens here, and we need something to talk about!

I'd also forgotten Nicola from BB1 who I think was from Bolton.

Yep, someone from Derby or Nottingham way would be good (although we can always talk about Forest getting relegated if you've nothing else ROB! <v cheeky grin!>

oh yeah forgot about Nicola too and Craig was from Liverpool way too

I know this might sound really sad, but I've done a little list of all the housemates and where they come from, just to see if there are any trends! I even found someone from the East Midlands, just for ROB! (But I doubt she will be impressed with who it is ..... !)

Southern England: Kitten (Brighton)

SW England: Tim (Worcester), Nush (Malvern?)

East Anglia: Spencer (Cambridge)

East Midlands: Lee (Leicester)

Wales: Helen, Lisa

Birmingham + area: Caroline, Dean, Alison, PJ, Steph

Yorkshire: Justine (Leeds), Dan (Hull)

Manchester + area: Nicola, Anouska, Stuart, Emma

narinder was from Leicester

It's funny you should say that, because when I realised that Lee was from Leicester, I was sure there was someone else as well. But didn't Narinder originally come from Newcastle - I seem to remember her speaking with a Geordie accent??

kitten is from Hull like Dan, my Step dad knows her parents and says how she used to be a good girl when she lived in Beverley 4 years ago!
