Cuz it shows they are agreeing with the post? Everyone does it in some form by either quoting the post blank or adding "This." to it. At least they are engaging in the conversation, rather than pathetically posting random names.

Andy was posting spam yes but people were replying when they saw a name they liked some one quoted to talk about that player.
