Just for those that forgot, you can now pick a username on facebook, but if you want one similar to your name you should probably pick it now, they seem to be going quite quick.

Not really but I was just posting this in case anyone wanted a name similar to theirs, by the looks of things the names are going out like crazy:spin2:

Only came about today, so it's new. Might as well do it now cos if you decide to do it in the future your name might be taken :laugh:

To be honest I think they've done it because it's another thing now that they can say they have aswell as facebook, twitter, etc.

I think it's cos people complained tbh. When they gave their friends a link to the profile it was often long with loads of numbers, well behind on the scale of FB.

It was definitely something that was needed.

For example, when I got to uni, when I met new people they'd say "add me on facebook", only to find they had a very common name and I never found them again.

Yeah this was far well over due, great move by facebook, but they took their time! Facebook will only gain in popularity by doing this, it will be so much easier to keep in contact with people i meet from nights out now.
