My new client has been assigned

If anyone cares

As a Cyber Devil's Advocate, I have been assigned

MacDonalds

The other choice I was offered was Microsoft

This year the Cyber Devil's Advocate General has decided that we will support coporate clients

We suspect it is because they pay more :bored:

cc100 28-05-2005 06:30 PM

so you'll be 'sticking' around mate?

Sticks 28-05-2005 07:44 PM

I will be defending the MacDonalds chain, should they be slagged off in these forums.

As to the BB6 housemates, they're on their own this year.

Any complaints, please direct them to the Office of the Cyber Devil's Advocate General. (Not that you will get anywhere :bored: )

cc100 29-05-2005 05:57 PM

Im not a fan of MacDonalds, Im afraid.

Surely this motley crue that we know as the BB6 intake are worthy of comment from Mr Sticks?

Amy 29-05-2005 06:33 PM

Kaz 29-05-2005 06:37 PM

But MacDonals score over BK in Breakfasts

(I love the porridge  )

MacDonalds are also doing salads. Do BK do that?

Romantic Old Bird 29-05-2005 08:00 PM

Sticks, could you arrange to take out the big M, Burger King and KFC please for the sake of the rain forest and the nation's health?

Thanks..................

Can I recommend everyone who just 'loves' McDonalds to read this:

MAKING OF A BEEFBURGER

As for KFC, don't clickHERE IF YOU'VE JUST EATEN...........................

Sticks 29-05-2005 09:35 PM

1) Cattle raised for Beef burgers in UK McDonalds come from EU and British stocks. Beef in the US comes from established ranches as does cattle in South America. McDonalds do not take beef from rain forrest cleared land (That is a myth)

McDonalds in the past has given donations to Kew gardens for part of research in preserving the rain forrest.

2) In the UK we have the toughest standards for animal welfare, the link provided appears to be related to activities in the US.

3) Material like this usually comes from certain pressure groups who have an agenda of converting the world to veganism, inspite of the evidence that humans are omnivores.

4) on the health issues, McDonalds has blased the trail with the introduction of salads and carrot sticks for children. The recent film "Super Size Me" did not seem to mention this and appeared to be another attempt by the left wing to attack a company based on an out of date perception.

It seems that if a company is successful, then we assume that they are a bunch of crooks who will rob us blind.

McDonalds also assist a charity so that parents of children who are in hospital can stay in accommodation on the hospital grounds. The detractors of McDonalds do not seem to mention this.

As for KFC, I will pass your comments on to the Cyber Devil's Advocate assigned to KFC.

I believe that the introduction of salads and carrot sticks was subsequent to the Super Size Me film, and some commentators would suggest, actually prompted by same. A reactionary token measure in the face of bad publicity and increasing consumer awareness.

I'm a burger king fan myself, nothing better burgerwise than an extra large bacon double cheese burger. I seem to recall Mc D's being traditionally void of the bacon option on burgers. An unforgiveable omission. :bored:

Still, sorry to hear of your turn to the dark side Sticks. Coroporate clients!! Will miss your ardent defence of whatever housemate you may have chosen, if management hadn't sold their souls for an easy buck.

Sticks 04-06-2005 08:31 PM

Who am I to question management.

At least I get to meet my client

The Cyber Devils Advocate to KFC was sacked this morning, because the were caught acting on behalf of a contestant on a reality TV programme, may not be BB in breach of the new regulations by our new Cyber Devil's Advocate General.

I am acting for them as well, while a new KFC Cyber Devil'd Advocate is appointed. I do here that the sacked Cyber Devil's Advocate is going to an industrial Tribunal saying that the policy change was some breach of terms and conditions.

We are all keeping our head's down as the new CDAG plays hard ball for keeps.

BTW I had breakfast with my client this morning.

James 25-10-2005 06:46 PM

'Super Size Me' is on telly tonight - I might watch it, never seen it before.

On at 9:00 on the channel More 4 (Sky 165).

10:00 PM on More 4+1 (Sky 268).

Ruth 25-10-2005 07:00 PM

It's a great movie, really makes you think, but Morgan Spurlock is also really entertaining. For anyone who has More4 (I love this channel), he is starting a new series on it soon, which looks really good.
