Creating Smilies Easily
now I bet alot of people are wondering how people make these smilies you choose. All of you have Paint on your computer, go on Start, Programs, Accessories, paint.
1.) With Paint open, click 'Image' then 'Attributes'. Change the height and width to 15 and 15 (standard smiley size) 2.) Next click the magnifier glass and zoom in by a factor of 8 3.) Click the Brush tool and select the smallest brush 4.) Now you can draw one pixel at a time, after you have your smiley outlined you can select the Fill tool and fill it with the color of your choice 5.) Finish the details of your smiley and select the Fill tool again, select a color you haven't used yet and fill the areas that you want to be transperent 6.) Next click 'File' then 'Save as...'. Change the "Save as Type" to "Graphics Interchange Format (*.gif)" and save 7.) A message pops up telling you that some color info will be lost, just click yes 8.) Next click 'Image' then 'Attributes' again, check the use transparency box and click "Select Color" 9.) Click on the color which you picked in step 5 10.) After your Background color is set it shows up in the bottom left hand corner behind the foreground and background color. Click 'File' then 'Save' Information found at www.mysmilies.com I will attach one that I made Enjoy making smilies!!!!!!!! |
I got stuck at number 6! when I clicked 'save as type' it didnt say gif anywhere!
It just said 24 bit Bitmap, 16 colour bitmap, 256 colour bitmap and monochrome bitmap!! :conf::conf::conf: |
On my pc on step 6 it comes up with in this order -
Monochrome Bitmap (*.bmp;*.dib) 16 Color Bitmap (*.bmp;*.dib) 256 Color Bitmap (*.bmp;*.dib) JPEG File Interchange Format (*.jpg;*.jpeg) GIF (*.gif) what does it say on yours? Then I might be able to help more clearly. |
It comes up with -
Monochrome Bitmap 16 Color Bitmap 256 Color Bitmap 24-bit Bitmap All Files And thats it! :conf: :conf: :conf: |
ok, try All Files and see if it works, I know I saw All Files siomewhere but it isn't meant to be there, but try it, it might work, attach it when it's ready, I'm gonna attach one now.
