Davina has claimed that the public now hate her for presenting Big Brother :sad:

BIG Brother host Davina McCall claims the show has turned her into a national hate figure.

Mum-of-three Davina, 41, has fronted the Channel 4 reality series since it was launched in 2000.

And she admits she is its biggest fan.

But she believes the public have turned against her as the programme’s ratings have continued to plunge.

She revealed that she has suffered verbal abuse.

And people are now telling her the show is too “low rent” for her and she should be hosting something more up-
market, like The Antiques Roadshow.

She said: “I love doing Big Brother. As a presenter, the longevity of the show really appeals to me.

“For me it’s pure entertainment. But I do get abuse for presenting it.”

And she blamed the criticism on high-brow attitudes, snapping: “People are so snobby.”

Davina also told Friday Night With Jonathan Ross last night that her favourite housemate from all the shows was lesbian former nun Anna Nolan, 38, from BB1.

She said: “In the whole 10 series, she is the only one I want to be my friend. I’m still in touch with her.”

And she claimed she could never sign up to do a show like Strictly Come Dancing because she is a sore loser.

Davina told Wossy, 48: “I couldn’t face losing. I would have to win because I am so competitive.”

She also dismissed rumours that she wanted to replace Fern Britton, 51, who is quitting as co-presenter of ITV’s This Morning next month.

Davina shrugged her shoulders and said: “I have no idea what’s going on.”

I dn't kniw if she is a sore loser but she's an awful presenter, she pulls faces, tells awful jokes, cannot interview at all and is well paid for it!!!
Time she went, well about 5 yrs ago still better late than never!

I was at the eviction night and I have nothing but admiration for the Woman, she looks amazing, has fantastic charisma. She had the crowd in her hands last night, and could not put her foot wrong. Love the woman to bits.

Her Hubby is a lucky man.

Lol, I actually agree with you though. I still watch, but just wish for better.

Her BBC chatshow proved how bad she is.

As for the abuse, its wrong that she gets it, but sometimes her playing up and some of the comments she makes about HM its not suprising (sad that people take it to that level)

Clockers, I have no doubt in her skills to entertain a crowd, but then it was a crowd that does really like her, how do you think she would be in presenting a non-bb show.

I saw her on Top Gear (I know, I know) and she said when she was on the F1 circuit for MTV she didn't know anything about it and asked them silly questions. Not good for a presenter to know nothing. Shows a lack of profesionalism.

Not that I can think of anyone that could/would/should replace her.

I think she's a lot better this year.

I like Davina but she isn't the most incisive interviewer.
