Sound Dips

I know this is said quite alot but the sound dips on E4 really annoy me, they cut off at every entertaining debate/argument for example it just kicked off between Roberto and Science and they decided to turn the sound off.

Annoys me as well ....... and when they cut away for an advert break when something really interesting's happening.

i'm enjoying the Internet feed! Only becuase of the fact that my TV is in the other room and when I run to see whats happening I miss it all! Also, It's good for pics for the site LOL!

BUT, I hate sound dips! That plane NEVER lands!

Razmataz 31-05-2005 08:37 PM

They should make the sound dips a little shorter. I don't think 5 seconds before and after a swear is that necessary...

Razmataz 31-05-2005 09:09 PM

They should have an option for u to listen to uncut big bro live if ya put a passkey in from Ryan xmwahx
MARY TO WIN!!!!

Nightfox 31-05-2005 10:10 PM

yeh but some of the sound dips are for the housemates privacy, aswell as swearing

Does anyone know why this happens??? It's always when an interesting conversation begins ; and another thing that bugs me is when something cool or funny's happening and the screen flicks to a less interesting grouping or sometimes the diary room door (and sod-all else....WTF?).

I thought it was so that channel 4 can't get sued , y'know like if the housemates are cussing a celeb or something , but it seems to happen just to irritate us nowadays.

Also , why the frigging hell don't they change the sounds...
They've been using that same plane landing and the goddamn cuckoo for the last 6 years .... ARRGH!!!

BigSister 01-06-2005 10:23 AM

It something about privacy to celebs, swearing and privacy to their own familes and friends hence the uncle bob ad

That blows ....
Some of the most interesting converstaions are about celebs and friends .
It's unfair , celebs want to be famous.... why should they be entitled to any privacy when they go out of their way to exploit themselves :conf:

BigSister 01-06-2005 10:29 AM

its always the same on E4 though ever since BB3/BB2

Azzy 01-06-2005 10:38 AM

Unfortunately I don't have E4 .
I hate it how channel 4 advertizes all the best shows only then to reveal they are on E4 only .

It's like the Diary Room Uncut , we mere mortals only get to watch this in the early hours (luckily I work afternoons so I can stay up , but there's such crap on in the evenings it makes me wonder why they don't just axe a few of the less popular shows *COUGH*-richardand judy-*Cough*).

fluffysquirrels 01-06-2005 12:03 PM

Go out and get a freeview top box, E4 is now free on it!! YOu can pick one up for around £30....stop complaining!

What other channels do you get on it???

fluffysquirrels 01-06-2005 01:35 PM

Ummm...quite a few to be honest, all the digital channels like BBC1,2,3,4. ITV1,2,3 Channel 4, E4 and E4 +1, then a couple of decent music channels calle The Hits and TMF, Men and Motors, FTN, there's a few others that are free like the ones mentioned including News and Sports as well as loads of Radio channels. Then if you want to, you can upgrade for £7.99 (approx) a month to get extra channels like Cartoon Network, Living channels and Discovery Channels.

But for a one off fee of £30, it's a bloody bargain, plus i don't watch that much tele anyway, whats the point in paying through the roof in excess of £30 a month on something like Sky when i only spend 4-5 hours a day watching tele. New Freeview channels areconstantly being added at no extra cost, so get in with it while you can! It's like last week, we got E4 and E4 +1 for nothing!
