yeah, lets all make sure he gets the 100,000

Cybele 04-07-2009 07:44 PM

They would have to bring in extra money somehow. Lots of places like that rent themselves out for weddings or corporate events. The upkeep on a place like that is VERY expensive.

Daffodil 04-07-2009 07:49 PM

Money is not the be all and end all of everything for some people. Sometimes people strive for higher things. BTW this house is his parents house.

/shrug when has 'need' been a criteria for winning BB? You think Lisa is any more worthy? Or Sophie?

At least Freddie will probably use it in a positive way, not just on fags and botox.

Happigail 04-07-2009 07:52 PM

thats some SERIOUS face painting

Theres just something a bit wrong with it in my opinion thats all. He will probably chuck it in the treasure room and think no more about it.

You are making a lot of assumptions, I believe. After all, we don't know how much money his family has... only that they live in a very expensive home. AND... we don't know how his father feels about just giving his son money. I know a family that is VERY rich. And I mean VERY. And yet they make their children get jobs to earn their own money. Now, granted, when the parents kick off, they will probably inherit, but that will likely be a very long time.

And like someone else said on a different thread, to me Freddie seems like the one most likely to spend the money on something worthwhile.

Its money and fame that motivates the HM, they don't go in for the good of their health!!:dance2:

Diddums to Freddie and his destitute family. My heart bleeds.

He is my second favorite BTW

Cybele 04-07-2009 07:54 PM

Oh... and one other thing that I forgot to mention. Freddie himself has spoken of doing face painting etc when he has been short on money in order to buy drinks. That doesn't sound like someone with a treasure room to me.

Yes but Halfwit doesn't need the money. He has been upfront about the fact that he wants to publicise his politics.

Nah, don't agree on this one. Out of all of them I think Freddie would use it to support a charity or something else of value.

There isnt a hope in hell of that with the others.

Happigail 04-07-2009 07:56 PM

He sleeps in his car too.

I think its a 'common People - Pulp' kinda thing.

No one said he was destitute either. But you can't make assumptions based on someone's parents. You really have no idea what the situation is in someone else's family.

Plus, as it has been said before, "need" is not a prerequisite for winning. If it was, the house would be full of Lisas that have been on the dole since the day they were born.

I can make assumptions if i want to with all respect. and if not then no-one else can either. Let's not assume, for example, that Freddie's family are skint and he will give the money to a worthy cause. Like the Conservative party for example.

loomy 04-07-2009 08:01 PM

Does he not own a business - he'll probably invest some of the money.

Jesus, just looked at the pictures, that is one big house. I wonder whether they actually live in it or some of it is kept purely for renting out

why?? are you saying that there should be a cut off point for how much money someone has before they can apply for bb?? a maximum bank balance/salary/square footage of home/number of shares??

madness

why is he less deserving than any of the others??

remember it's not HIS money. it's his parents

Pronay 04-07-2009 08:05 PM

Freddie isn't Scrooge McDuck

If he won, I think he'd give the money to charity

Yes, you can do anything you want... though by wording it like that you might make yourself sound like a 13 year old.

I never said that anyone couldn't make assumptions. I said that you shouldn't make assumptions about someone BASED ON THEIR PARENTS. I also never said that his family was poor. Clearly they are not poor. So if you feel the need to make smart comments back to me, please read what I said first.

... with all due respect, of course.
