Most complaints about Marcus/Sree argument

Day 36:
Media regulator Ofcom has received nearly 300 complaints in the last week regarding Big Brother.

In the week leading up to July 6th, Ofcom received precisely 290 complaints about various matters related to the show.

The majority of complaints were about an argument that housemates Marcus and Sree had, which happened on Thursday.

About 200 people complained about Marcus’ apparent verbal threat against Sree, which he was he was later formally warned about by Big Brother. Prior to the argument, Marcus had also mimicked Sree’s accent, however Big Brother’s warning was not regarding this incident.

Ofcom is currently reviewing whether it will investigate the complaints or not.

A Big Brother spokeswoman said: “Big Brother intervened and took immediate and appropriate action relating to the argument between Sree and Marcus.

“Marcus received a formal warning following his use of threatening language during his argument with Sree. Threatening language and behaviour is not acceptable in the Big Brother house. Big Brother monitors the welfare, language and behaviour of housemates at all times and will continue to monitor this situation.”

Marcus wasn't being racist. He was absolutely correct when he told Big Brother that everyone in that house makes fun of Freddie's accent all the time and no one has been called on that. Give it up with these Ofcom complaints... my god, people.

Yea get a *********g life Gavin. Marcus was not racist by mocking Sree's accent. Don't people mock the Irish accent all the time. And what about some of the HMs mocking Freddies accent and the way he talks.

Did you complain to Ofcom when they mocked Freddie?

I dare say the OP thinks he is being funny with all these OFCOM threads without actually contributing to the forum about the show but its getting tiresome,he should be banned for spamming and trolling imo.
