Big Brother loses out to Love Island
 

The unlikely prospect last week of Celebrity Love Island beating Big Brother became a reality last night as 4.7 million viewers tuned in for a 60-minute special of ITV1’s Z-List celeb fest.
In a surprise switch for the beleaguered Love Island, the sun and booze-drenched antics from Fiji helped beat off Channel 4’s Big Brother, during a 30-minute crossover between the two shows.

Love Island brought in 4.7 million and a 21.8% share of the audience from 9.30 to 10.30pm, while 50 minutes of Big Brother attracted 3.7 million viewers and a 19.7% share.
