Lisa: Actively Seeking Work?

Will Lisa's benefits be affected by her decision to go into the BB house?

She can't be 'actively seeking work' when she's locked away in the BB house for two months, can she?
:nono:

Hmm...now where's that benefit office phone number?

Wilton_Shagpile 11-07-2009 09:04 AM

I said that a while back:wink:

Where is that phone.....

she aint unemployed while she is in there they get paid so much per week

Any 'deals' she might get post-eviction should almost certainly result in her benefits being stopped.

She can use that money to pay for her revolting ciggie habbit, the vile dog.

Why should the taxpayer have to fund her nicotine addiction? :nono:

Although, having said that, the most likely deal she'll get is advertising dog food - with her eating the product :laugh2:

You're kidding, right?

I don't like Lisa - she's an Iago and I have no idea if she's really on benefits or not but if she is on benefits then going on Big Brother is extremely likely to get her at least some ability to earn money after the event, even if just for a short while. Big Brother is like one big, long job interview - only better, because even if you do sh1te you will still come out to a money earning opportunity. I'm sure it is way less than a lot of the housemates hope for, but still. So I would say that she is actively seeking work by being in there - 24/7 for 6+ weeks is about as active as you can get.

Well, if being on BB is classed as 'work' she might just fool the benefit officer.

No matter, she'll quickly blow any earnings on tobacco - the revolting dog.

Lisa: the BB house today, a park bench and hostel tomorrow. It's a sure thing.

Lets hope your never in a situation where u have to rely on benifits to get by due to injury or all earners in ure house being laid off.

I mean Why should the tax payers fuel you need for food and a roof over your head. Never judge someone when you don't know the reason behind it.

Although i agree with the Vile dog comment.

I've every sympathy with the unemployed.

But if I was out of work I wouldn't blow tax payers money on expensive nicotine.

I'd get off the ciggies and use the extra cash to buy some decent interview gear.

By the looks of her (she arrived with a pink mohican) Lisa isn't too concerned how her appearance might deter potential employers, is she?

There are thousands of people in the UK who smoke and talk like Lisa and some of them take supprt from the government because they have no other options - and the VAST majority of them are good people in poor circumstances.

Lisa does not appear to be a good person. It has nothing to do with her situation or her background, and especially nothing to do with her nicotine use. It is completely purile to attempt to use those things as an insult. She is two-faced, manipulative and has an inflated opinion of her own rightness. THOSE are the problems with her. She'd be just as nasty if she didn't smoke and had a good to high income job.

People don't end up on park benches because they are bad people.

Yeah, they will be, she will have signed off. being in the BB house is a temporary paid contract, meaning she is actually employed.

Who, on the other hand, wiill want to employ her once she comes out is a different question entirely...

She will probably sue BB for 'loss of earnings' when she gets out though for making her unemployable via their edits

Balls! You've never been poor, have you?

I have - and I smoked at the time - in fact sometimes a wee nicotine hit was my only pleasure and luxury in a day. You want to deny people that, do you?

Does every job in the world require a woman to have a femine, modest haircut and wear a neat little suit? What world do you live in?
