Wow, Is that really a live bathroom cam? :O

Spike 12-07-2009 12:13 PM

Good ratings for the show and most importantly it was up in the demos
It's the first premiere since BB4 to be up on the previous series premiere.

BBUK ratings = Down
BBUSA ratings = Up

BBUSA and UK have been going a similar amount of time.. what are they doing to keep their BB alive that UK isnt?

MarkWaldorf 13-07-2009 07:27 AM

Yay, the ratings have stayed consistant then!

Not too bad.

I'm wondering right now, which series has been the most successful one as far as ratings are concerned ?

*mazedsalv** 13-07-2009 08:53 PM

Looks like its doing very well, Im sure 2 years ago for BB9 it was getting 5m at times and 6 at most.

See why can USA do it and UK cant?? Ohh i know why.... the LIVE FEED!!
USA have EXPANDED their LF this year and it has been positive so far.
UK have GOT RID ALMOST COMPLETELY of LF and its been negative.

Or maybe its that they are bothering and here they arent. Its a dissapointement to see us fall so much while others are going up.

I'm glad the ratings are good...I need CBS to keep renewing BB until I'm old enough to be on it, haha.

Firewire 17-07-2009 08:19 AM

Well there is over 500 million people in the US

And it is getting 6 million viewers

We have over 60 million and get 2 million viewers.

MarkWaldorf 17-07-2009 11:04 AM

^I'm pretty sure the USA has just over 300,000,000.

We have (in Serbia) 7, 5 million people and get 3 million viewers. BB has huge ratings.

*mazedsalv** 17-07-2009 03:55 PM

That true, i mean with that many people living in the US, the 6m is very low but at least its not going down.
But really, BB here is bigger if you take that to account, in the US, BB isnt big at all, its more of a cult show.

Firewire you need to keep this in mind there are 303 million people in America maybe 35 million are under 10 so they wont watch Big Brother then there are probably 45 million people over 60 who wont watch Big Brother. Then there are the poor places that people don't even have a toaster and then there is places like New Orleans that people can't even go in their house because of the Hurricane and there are also loads of channels (I have got 1951 channels) so them ratings are actually very good.

This is not good
CBS’s “Big Brother” garnered a less impressive 5.6 million viewers, although that total was enough to win the 8 p.m. time slot ahead of Fox’s repeat of “Bones” (5.1 million) and ABC’s special “J.K. Rowling: A Year in the Life” (4.4 million).

Probably last night was a slow TV night but Big Brother still won so that's good. :cheer2:

Quite good ratings for this season, I think they are up on last years

Chilltown 23-07-2009 08:37 AM

These are the best ratings since Season 8. All that truly matters is that BB is winning it's time slot.
