Why did Siavash put himself up after Sophie slipped out a swear word? I don't understand his thought processes...

I think he just wants to see if he can survive an eviction, since he's never really been up. Guess he just figures if people want him gone, he'll give us a chance to make that so

He's trying to present himself as having nothing to hide whereas he most certainly does because HE LIED. However, in so doing people might be goaded into thinking he's just uber confident...

The guy is just playing the BIGGEST GAME ever! Did anyone else notice how he only started talking to Halfwit after he had survived 2 / 3 evictions???

he knew there would be every likliehood that he'd be nominated anyway. So he did the obvious thing by nominating himself and coming across as an honoourable gallant guy by supporting dogface.
