Rodrigo isn\'t boring, he\'s from another culture

he's not from our country, he only moved here 2 years ago. he doesn't mean to be a kill joy, he just simply can't understand why people would do those things.

HalfwitFTW 16-07-2009 10:13 PM

I don't think so. Stop stereotyping.... not all people from other countries are like that.

HELLIWONTGO 16-07-2009 10:13 PM

No, sorry he's boring and means to be!

BB_Eye 16-07-2009 10:14 PM

Nothing to do with his culture. He just happens to be able to see through the forced, put-on "craziness" that the housemates have adopted, ever since they came into contact with more interesting people than themselves.

Smugington 16-07-2009 10:14 PM

I don't care if he's from a different culture, he's still a boring, dreary individual.

shazzyshaz 16-07-2009 10:15 PM

I would agree with you there, he has been bought up to respect his family, friends and environment, but he has watched BB and is well aware of behaviour that goes on in the house so therefore should have been prepared for what he was going into I would have thought

Josy 16-07-2009 10:15 PM

It has nothing to do with were he is from... hes just extremely boring, he needs slapped with a soggy salmon.

kisywisy 16-07-2009 10:15 PM

don't think it's anything to do with that. he's got no problem when he's playing about, but when it's someone else he acts like it's the most shocking thing he's ever seen!!

he's over the top

decdec456 16-07-2009 10:16 PM

He's just painful whatever you think about the "forced craziness", just don't lick the honey if you don't like the bee! :spin2:

dennissabre 16-07-2009 10:19 PM

Brilliant post!

eh? how am i stereotyping?

it's got everything to do with culture. if you haven't been abroad to different countries then you can't really comment on this, but if you have then you'll know that different countries have different cultures and different ways of being. here in the UK it's acceptable to be a lager lout, drink to excess, and pick fights with people over nothing. if you go over to another country you'll find that that isn't acceptable.

it's a culture difference. plus the fact that Rodrigo might just think that throwing items that they need, in the pool like the mangle is a bit stupid.

Exactly. He's just over the top. His personality is as fabricated as anyone elses - at least with everyone else, they'd probably admit after the show that they were driven by boredom, but he wouldn't reason like that at all.

gohan2091 16-07-2009 10:25 PM

Rodrigo isn't a bore, he is the most sensible housemate in there. At least he has respect for the house.

Rodrigo2Win 16-07-2009 10:25 PM

That definitely IS the reason...

Only the British public would look at a bunch of imbeciles destroying other people's possessions and go ''HUR HUR WASS WEALLY FWUNNY!''.

It says a lot for OUR culture.

Marc 16-07-2009 10:26 PM

I hope your not trying to call us ignorant because your kinda being ignorant yourself suggesting that Rodrigo doesn't know of English humour. Globalisation baby.

Destroying other people's possessions? It's not like they're a group of hooligans walking along a street of unsuspecting houses, vandalising them. The entire show is set up for exhibitionism and madness! It's supposed to bring out people's mad side. I can't believe someone would claim to be concerned about the property of the house! Do you not think the production team are absolutely loving them climbing around the house in protest?

Well I am Asian so do have a different culture but I don't act anything like Rodrigo. If I see people doing something which goes against my culture, I don't say to them stop doing it because it goes against my culture.. because it's not my place to say it... just like it's not Rodrigo's place to say anything to the housemates.

Also yes you are stereotyping by saying he behaves like that because he is from another country... saying someone behaves in a certain way because of their culture or where they come from is AKA a sterotype.

Don't think it's because of his culture, could be how he was raised but I think he's just high strung. Still think he's cute, I do have to admit I had to tell him to shut up a few times.

i don't give a toss about the property of the house. i'm just saying that people think Rodrigo is boring because he can't understand why people would want to spend their time destroying things that they're going to be using for the next however many weeks.
