I just don\'t know what to do

My two friends who have recently turned against me because I don't like walking around on the streets at night have got a portable dvd player that I let them borrow, and they owe me £12 which I lent to them out of my own ****ing pocket.

They're a couple, and the she has moved hostels because her parents don't love her and I don't know where the hostel is so I can't get the DVD player. I arranged to meet up today last night but she didn't turn up FFS and when I tried to call the he, he answered by hung up instantly.

So I dunno wtf to do to get the stuff back. They have a cheap unbrella, some trousers and some DVDs which one of them is pirated and I said I'd give them back.

Jayson 17-07-2009 01:22 PM

They might not be taking friends for granted, they might just be too annoyed to talk

Maybe they don't trust anyone after not being loved and all, so she told him not to talk to you

I know it's not nice, but maybe they have sold your gear and are now avoiding you. I think you may have to put this down to experience and be more careful in future who you trust. I'm sorry to be blunt, but it's the way it sounds to me. I do hope I am wrong, as obviously I do not know the people involved.

Their names are pepi and nathan. pepi usually uses nathans phone because she has no credit.
nathan does have parents and a house but pepi doesnt.

HELLIWONTGO 17-07-2009 02:17 PM

Sounds like they might be ideal candidates for next years BB!

Christina 17-07-2009 03:36 PM

I kind of agree with Mrluvaluva, although i don't know your mates it does kind of sound like they're avoiding you because they have sold your stuff? I hope this isn't true though. And do you know where nathan lives? If so why not get an adult to go around to his and try and talk to them. Be careful with who you lend your stuff to :(

KillER 17-07-2009 03:40 PM

if you know where they live then go round and say straight out you want your stuff back

they dont sound like friends by the way.... you should wash your hands of them as soon as you get back whats rightfully yours

_Seth 17-07-2009 04:04 PM

Yeah, once I get my stuff I'll be done with them. I know where Nathan lives but it's Pepi who has the stuff.

_Seth 18-07-2009 07:56 PM

They're not answering their phones. I'm starting to panic now.

Material possessions are easier to replace then it is to regain the ability to place your trust in others once that has been lost. If you can't regain the property you had lent out, then it might properly be better to just forget all about them, and the learn from the life lesson as aggreviating as it might seem. In time you find truer friends who will keep your in their inner circle regardless of your individualism.
