She just wasnt understanding it at all, and I was left with the idea that her grasp of english was very very very poor. Its either that or she is just not very bright.

I wondered if the english thing was partly to blame for not understanding the task. But you can't use that as an excuse for the hamper. Hell, I could see it sitting right there when she walked out. Plus, Big Brother had to tell her how to open the door! lol

I don't think it was a language barrier that is to blame for her misunderstanding as she seems to speak the language just fine. I think she's just plain dumb to be honest. Either that or she was still kind of in shock at having just been thrust into the BB house.

It not the language barrier atall, many asian people brought up in asia speak english and have larger vocabulary than people from english speaking nations.

Being accademically clever does not mean you are smart outside of the studying enviroment. Hira is just a dumb b!tch.

Sounds like she learnt her English from watching the Bold and the Beautiful. That US accent is hard to listen too. Anyway I hope she isn't that thick and it's just a language problem.

Actually, when english is taught in other countries, it is taught with what you would call the American accent.

The English version that I hear people from Pakistan talk sounds cool... especially that Imran Kahn version. Doubt she learnt "international" English given that English is widely spoken by the well to do city folk without the yanky twang. Maybe she spent time in the US. Who knows.

Just a point that was brought up earlier when someone mentioned people learning "English with an American accent."

I doubt people in Pakistan or India would learn American English. It goes against the tradition of these two countries which is British English first.

Maybe she went to university in USA? Her accent sounds like a blown-out Canadian accent to me too.
