Well whoever was/is slagging Tom of are wankers, I am certain Marcus was the instigator as he to a disliking to Tom on his first night.

This is the sinister, and i don't use that word lightly, thing about Marcus.

He knows Noirin does not fancy him, and has no chance with her. But he is actively working on it. He claimed he had a 1 % chance of something happening and that was after she had told him in no uncertain terms i'm not interested. His 1 % is the way he has controlled her, he's getting into her head and creating a dependancy on him.

This is only my opinion, based on how i am reading the situ, but i am convinced.
