After careful consideration I have come to the conclusive ranking:

1) Nelly Furtado - still a song I would listen to today, pretty timeless, a bloody lovely song and she is SLEPT. ON. the real queen of Canada.
2) The Killers - Would've 100% voted for this at the time (and did!) because it was, and is, one of my favourite songs of theirs. V underrated.
3) Girls Aloud - AN. ANTHEM. Oh god I already think I've made a mistake not voting for this.
4) JoJo - a BELTER of a ballad, lots of memories of trying to sing it with friends, peak 2007 MSN melodrama
5) Gossip - ugh I don't want to imagine a world where this didn't soundtrack every single advert on Channel 4 for six months. A rock classic. When will Led Zeppelin?
6) Timbaland - an absolute bop and he was pretty much the leading man behind music in 2007.
7) Calvin Harris - definitely a bop, but probably the most dated of the bunch and also something he probably wouldn't get away with releasing today (HE SAID MIXED RACE????? HE WHAT???)
8) Rihanna - like I said: obviously a classic. But it was culturally dead to me until Tom Holland did that to it.
