No, meat eaters don't care about killing sentient things to nom nom them up... but vegans are ethically against eating or exploiting "things that can think" as far as I understand it, so if plants also think, what can they eat? Would they just stop eating... or would they (as suggested by Maru) just accept the circle of life and start eating animals too

Though I suppose fruit might be OK? The plant itself doesn't get eaten and the whole point of fruit is to be eaten, so I guess they'd be like... "Thanks"?
