There was once a time when people gained celebrity as a result of their achievements but a event sponsored by OK! is set to reward people simply for being famous. We have already taken a look at the Man and Woman of the Year categories.

Now we switch our focus to Reality Star of the Year. Quite how the OK readers will decide on this is unsure, although it is reasonable to assume it will come down to who they most wanted to win their respective reality shows the most.

Of course further public appearances and whether they have received favourable press will also be included in the though process.

Paddy Power have installed Nadia from Big Brother as their even money favourite and it is hard to disagree with that assessment. The Portuguese housemate won the affections of the British public from an early stage of the Channel 4 reality show.

Initially available at around 16/1 to win Big Brother, it wasn’t long before bookies were forced to considerably cut her odds.

Although not quite on the same scale, it wouldn’t be a total surprise if Paddy Power are forced to shorten Nadia for this particular event. Of the other candidates, none of them leap off the page as a serious contender for those looking for a small financial interest, try a small bet on Nadia.

The awards can be seen live on ITV 1 on September 29 at 8pm.
