Yeah in a way it's a good thing, less fire risk with the fireworks. It's been extra hot this year, but we've been fortunate to avoid a drought, and hopefully enough of that energy in the Gulf will be used up before hurricane season starts to really kick in... last year we would've all paid people to take some of our rain... We got 50" in some spots (total) here across several days during Harvey (2017)

My husband is driving to work and he may have to turn around... freeway is flooded out on one side and they're redirecting people to drive the opposite end wrong direction (including him)... 8" inches dropped in that spot within the past few hours...
