) and losing to ITALY. Really just puts the cherry on top of a disastrous meet for us
I really don't know what it was this year. It's not uncommon for us to not send all of our best athletes since there's usually a stronger emphasis on NCAA championships and high school nationals, but we had so many people just falter and miss out on gold or be way out of contention.
Anyway, I'm trying to enjoy the World Cup for what is because I do like the idea behind it but there's just so many nobodies who I'm not invested in at all. Not to mention that half of the fields are even smaller because China apparently didn't enter 14 of the events or something
