I suppose it's possible to dislike him because of what he does or the way he puts himself across, although that's part of him and I don't think he's done anything to make himself viewed as smug or snake-like.
But hey, each to their own when it comes to opinions, as always.

Like I said in The X Factor's "Hate Rhydian" club, I don't think we really
hate him, it's just that the "We Hate Zac Efron" club sounds better than the "We don't like Zac Efron" club or the "We really can't stand Zac Efron" club or some other stupid name like that.
