Expressing incorrect beliefs about Scientology is a "crime" within the Church of Scientology. According to Scientology scripture, L. Ron Hubbard is the one and only authority on Scientology. The only correct beliefs about Scientology are the ones Hubbard says are correct and no one else can say what is correct or not. Nor can anyone else say what the scriptures mean.

Scientologists(TM) must be careful they don't usurp Hubbard's authority and commit the sin of "verbal tech" when talking about Scientology. This is why Scientologists(TM) answer questions about Scientology by pointing to Hubbard's own words.

There are a few things Scientologists) pick up as "safe" to say. In general, this is anything which can be found on the official Web page for the Church of Scientology, as long as it is quoted correctly and with full context.
