Default weird thought: BBUK pretty much mirrored BBAUS’ history

hear me out it’s mostly reaching but I find it funny

Big Brother Australia:
  • Enjoyed early success
  • Nearly forced into cancelation in 2006 because of ‘turkey slap incident’ that caused international outrage
  • Cancelled 2 years later after controversy and ended with pretty disappointing final series
  • Got picked up by another channel, the channel one place up from Network Ten, Channel 9.
  • Show turned pretty tacky after switchover and proved unsuccessful
  • Cancelled again with last series being ‘storm’ themed

BBUK:
  • Enjoyed early success and became an iconic piece of british TV
  • Nearly forced into cancellation in 2007 with calls to drop the show after CBB5’s race row that caused international outrage
  • Cancelled 3 years later with pretty dissapointing last series
  • picked up by channel one space below Channel 4, Channel 5.
  • Show turned pretty tacky after switchover and proved unsuccessful
  • Cancelled again with last series of CBB being ‘storm’ themed
