Of course it is, but no one is really saying that it isn't. It's about public image... but people need to be aware of that and the potential consequences. e.g. do you think anyone at Starbucks HQ gives a flying **** that one of their managers kicked out a couple of guys who hadn't made a purchase? Of course not. But they HAVE to pretend like they do / be seen to be doing something about it when the **** hits the fan.

So deleting / controlling one's social media isn't about some moral crusade to "delete those nasty things", it's sensible self preservation and being aware of how the world works, i.e., it is RARELY fair and if you leave yourself open to being thrown under the bus to save someone else's arse, it's going to happen.
