Unless its been used tonight and it makes a difference. Assuming this is the same thing my mate has, all it will do is give extra oxygen. Not mask any noise and that.
He will feel he has a better sleep though, as the lack of oxygen that comes when he stops breathing will (even if he thinks he has slept deeply) keep waking him slightly. So not losing the oxygen will give him proper sleep, possibly for the first time in years.
