I think if you compare Sam and Amanda to countless pathetically dull people around the world, you'd soon realise they're not dull.

Im willing to bet the majority of people here would be rather dull whilst being featured on our television screens, and I wouldn't get much interest out of watching you...
So it's possible you're insulting yourselves to some extent.

Conversation wise id say they're immensely dull in the sense of intelligence/substance, but they still seem interesting to talk to because of the ways they respond. And it'd be amusing to listen to them talk rubbish and get things wrong etc.

Everything else about them that isn't to do with conversation doesn't seem dull at all...
Think about people in boring clothes, with slow voices who talk about really boring topics and just sit there minding their own business and barely talking.

Then think about the twins.

I don't think there's a similarity between the two.

You could argue there isn't much to them, or that they're not complicated people etc...but they're a little bit "mad" sometimes and generally fun and constantly talking to people/cheering them up.
