JOHN McCririck's horse racing colleagues yesterday turned on the Celebrity Big Brother contestant, branding him "repulsive".
The TV racing expert has admitted he has few friends and not even those on the racing circuit could find a good word to say about the 64-year- old loudmouth.
Journalist Julian Wilson, who was friends with McCririck at Harrow School, said he has been "trying to avoid him ever since".
He said: "The occupants of the house have my deepest sympathy.
"I can't imagine many people I'd like to be locked up with in a house less than John."
Channel 4 Racing host Alastair Down said: "How long he stays depends on how repellent he decides to be. He has it in his power to leave at the first hurdle."
Top jockey Mick Fitzgerald added: "I can't see him lasting very long."
