I use NordVPN and it's always excellent. 100% uptime and I barely lose any connection speed. You can get very good two-year deals usually, too.
I would suggest that a free VPN is probably not going to cut it for Netflix.
Also, I'm not sure if you know but, it's not as simple as just logging into your current Netflix using US servers... you actually have to sign up to a new Netflix account from a US IP address and fill in all your details as being from the US, and then also use the VPN for watching as well. If you try to use your UK Netflix account via a US VPN, it'll just not connect at all.
