Maybe you don't have the processor power.
The problem with Microsoft is they are not good at writing optimized and their programs tend to be processor hungry and big and bulky. It's why the size of windows keeps growing and requiring faster and faster processors. Although new features are added which is good, the users never see an improvement in the basic performance of the OS from one version of windows to the next.
If it streamed video it could be the internet connection speed.
