Likewise with some of the items in this thread (the Alabama one for instance), if someone wanted it as part of a collection of American / colonial items then that seems reasonable. If they simply have a massive collection of black caricatures, gollywogs and pictures of people with blackface... well... there's something else going on there isn't there.

If i went to my local auction tomorrow with a German Luger, bayonette and a few medals Id have my hand bitten off for them in the car park with wads of folding being pressed into my hand.
