The Police said that Mum's Death was 'a tragic and unexplainable event'. When she was gone I carried on living with my Dad. I had to become the 'Mother' figure of the house, cooking and cleaning. I would watch eagerly out of the window, seeing Children play with their toys on the pavement. I was locked inside, having to insure everything in the house was 'growing' well for Dad's customers. I would spend hours on my own. Listening. Listening to silence. Dad said I couldn't have the TV on, because I was a naughty girl.
But then one day I decided to turn the TV on. I was enthralled at the bright colours and loud music that shouted out at me from the box. I saw Children playing, and monsters chasing them. Then the childrens programmes ended, and I saw the News. They were telling me aboyt horrible things happening all over the world. It upset me. Gun Crimes, Murders, War. As I sat, staring at the conflict going on in the world the door slammed. Dad was back. I still hadnt bought the tea, watered his 'plants' or made him any food. I knew I was in for it.
But instead of geting angry, Dad ignored that I hadn't done any of my jobs and the fact that I watching TV. I stood there, sweat trickling down my body, when I heard a smoky femine voice call from the hallway. Dad had a women with him.
