The toffs and political class love their cricket, whereas Wayne Rooney plays a working class sport. So no surprise to see Alastair Cook Knighted.
They also prefer their rugby union to the working class sport of Rugby league, so no surprises that Bill Beaumont gets a knighthood while Billy Boston doesn't.
They'll soon want us when war kicks off.
