Why I don\'t think Rhydian should win...
Don't get me wrong, Rhydian is clearly the most talented of the remaining acts. BUT, if he wins, I can't see a direction for the producers, or Simon, or whoever to take with him...
Leona was so versitile and modern that it was easy for her to slip into current music ; she also had a voice that was easy to write modern songs for - "Bleeding Love" is a great, and very popular song, as we know.
However, what kind of songs is a song writer going to give Rhydian? He won't be able to sing any songs that fit into current popular music trends without sounding cheesy ; imagine a ballad written for him, it'd be awful. The other idea would be to take the opera route, and realize opera music, but with that, he'd lose a lot of his support which doesn't like this.
Rhydian is a performer, and is amazing at taking songs and making them his own. But I think a huge amount of people will be disappointed if he releases covers filled with albums, and again, he won't be successful.
I really think that he belongs in the theatre, in proper high-class stuff, but I don't think he should be a recording artist in the way the winner of The X Factor should be. I can't see it working, and I don't think he'll be successful at all. To be honest, the only remaining act I see fitting in, and selling records, is Hope, or at a stretch, Leon, but the latter is lacking the talent, and the former is apparently lacking the sheer popularity.
