I havent had mine removed but mine have taken a few years to come thro. At times it was very painful and they have become infected twice and my face swelled up on one side.

Its one of the worst pains I have endured.

Mine were coming through straight so I wasnt offered them to be extracted but if they are coming in sideways or at an odd angle you may have to have them removed. On the NHS they dont tend to remove them until they have become infected twice, or so my dentist said.

I feel for you as its so so painful.
