Actually, it doesn't sound like a bad idea. I'm not the biggest fan of opera, but if it was a show where you could just hear fantastic singing (in whatever style), I'd be quite interested. To me, it really is all about the singing when it comes to singing talent shows, rather than all the gimmicks.

Maybe the BBC or ITV will take note and produce something for varied musical tastes and singing styles.
Then we can kick the Opera singers out of the X Factor for good and Rhydian can show case his talents in the right sort of show.
