I used to get pretty anxious at work when people were making physical threats but (*******ing sadly) you get used to it pretty quickly and realise that 99% of people are all bark. Someone would have to pull a knife to even phase me these days

Tbh the most scared I've ever been was when my daughter went out with a couple of her friends (who are sisters) and then about an hour later I saw the two girls driving off with their parents. My daughter is supposed to tell us if she's off playing with someone else / elsewhere and hadn't, and I couldn't find her. But turns out she was with another kid and had come home to tell me and I wasn't there, as I was looking for her, and we were just constantly missing each other (they would wander down one street just as I turned the corner of another, etc.) but yeah I was pretty convinced she'd been abducted .

I think most parents have one of those stories though. I swear it's scarier than being in personal danger .

I was also in quite a few "bad situations" as a teen but I thought I was literally invincible back then so I wasn't scared. In hindsight, there are a few times that I really should have been.
