23. Summertime Sadness
This is Lana's best album, and I don't even want to award a last place as this song isn't even that bad
but here we go...
Everytime this song pops up it reminds me of summer of 2012 and in a bad way... It's probably Lana's most iconic song yet one of my least favourite of this album. It doesn't really convey emotion or meaning to me in a way that Born To Die does either. I think this is the song that screams 'mainstream pop' more than any other song in the album, not that it is of a **** quality however...
The music video is in true Lana style but it doesn't speak to me like say National Anthem does.
