You should eat the Easter egg first and then go on the treadmill.
Sweets give you energy. I used to eat jaffa cakes and Jelly babies before a game of football, they make you hyper and gave me the energy to do more running and work. But then after a workout, you need to eat well to put the energy you lose back on. Steak and chips was my favourite.
