To keep the show fresh. Nothing to do with her style otherwise she wouldn't have made 3 series. Simon wants X Factor to be a carbon copy of American Idol, hence why Dermot met Ryan Seacrest for presenting tips, and why Dermot acts like Ryan (or tries to).
