Do people from your town or towns near by have silly nicknames?
Galashiels a town 18 miles from my home town, the people from there get called "pail merks"
Why?
Seemingly they were the last of the Scottish border towns to get plumbing so used to poop in buckets(pails) and it used to leave a mark round thier bums.
